Meet Little Bear

Breed: Min Pin (Brown)
Weight: 9 lbs

This is Little Bear, also known as Gonzo, a loving little guy looking for a forever home, gets along with all other animals and loves everyone. Gonzo’s neutered, is up to date on shots and loves everyone he meets and gets along with all other animals. He has the sweetest disposition, he is always being introduced to different dogs and has never acted anyway but sweet.

Little Bear’s only about 3 or 4 years old but he feels so fragile, though we know he’s not as fragile as he looks. When we pick him up he cracks and pops and seems a little stiff sometimes, and although it’s completely healed and doesn’t seem tender to the touch, his rib sticks out a little and he also has a fractured pelvis from a previous injury. He is so sweet and loving, he loves to hang out on your lap or beside you and just cuddle up. His fur is so soft and thick, he feels like a little stuffed teddy bear. And he’s so sweet and loving. He’s hilarious too about getting attention when he wants it. If I’m putting a sweater on another dog Little Bear comes and tries to put his head in because he wants everything to be put on him. So he can be a bit of nuisance when I’m leashing up all the dogs with every little thing he wants it all to be put on him! It’s so funny! But at least he doesn’t mind wearing a sweater when it’s cold which is good, since he hates to be cold. In fact, he loves to climb under the blankets with you to sleep if you let him.

WHERE GONZO CAME FROM: This cute little fella was found wandering on Easter night near busy Rosecrans Blvd in Bellflower, obviously lost. We tried but couldn’t locate any owners, but he was clearly once someone’s very loved pet. He’s house trained and used to going for walks, being handled, getting baths. This little guy has the sweetest disposition although can be a little timid, loud voices scare him, but the more comfortable with you he gets the more he relaxes. Little Bear is a good and loving boy who deserves a loving forever home.

About Bambi's Hope Rescue

Bambi’s Hope Rescue is an all breed dog and cat rescue. We rescue from local shelters that are high volume, high kill, strays and animals living in inadequate or abusive living conditions and provide them with permanent, suitable loving homes while making every effort to spread awareness about the injustices of animal experimentation as well as pet stores and puppy mills along the way. We operate without a physical facility or paid staff. We are a privately-funded organization comprised of dedicated rescuers, volunteers and foster homes. All financing comes from our own pockets, as well as contributions from fellow dog lovers. Without your support we could no longer rescue. Our rescue animals stay in approved foster homes until a suitable adoptive home is found. We use a detailed application and interview process in an effort to make the best match between the animal and an adoptive home. If for some reason the adoptive animal does not work out in their new home, it is required that our animals be returned to us so that we can place them back with their dedicated foster parents to ensure they will never wind up abandoned or in the shelter system.

All four of our pets are rescued pets. The lovely dog (who patiently lives with three feline divas) was rescued with 14 (!) puppies and all were nearly starved. After the rescue agency spayed and fostered her and she was up for adoption, I found her! I am the luckiest dog owner anywhere (bias… what bias??). Keep up the fabulous work. Blessings, Gina
