Meet Mya

Sex: Female
Age: 14 months (approx.)
Breed: Chihuahua Mix (Black/Brown)
Weight: 9 lbs
Available: No longer available

This is Mya, a super sweet young Chihuahua mix. She’s smart and eager to learn and looking for a of loving home to call her own. She is spayed, up to date on shots, micro chipped, almost completely house trained and with her sweet, submissive disposition she gets along with ALL the other pets.

Details: Mya’s our little “cat-dog”. When we first got her she acted insecure but since getting to know her we find she’s surprisingly independent for a small breed dog. She’s often off by herself keeping herself busy with some chew toy or napping under the bed. Both Mya her cell mate were dumped by their owners at Christmas sick with URI’s and Kennel Cough. They’re completely recovered, ready and hoping for a loving family to call her own. She’s a cute, silly, funny, playful little love bug who, with her sweet submissive disposition gets along with ALL types of other pets. She may put on a tough girl act when first meeting a new dog or human but is actually just afraid, and she get’s over that very quickly as soon as she knows she’s not going to get hurt. Mya loves going to walks and is great on a leash. She loves to fetch balls, play with squeaky toys, chew little rawhide sticks and hang out with her favorite people. She doesn’t bark alot or have any other compulsive behaviors and in getting to know her, we’ve come to realize she’s pretty independent. Kind of like a cat-dog, likes to do her own thing and isn’t always needing attention like most little dogs. Mya is at an ideal age for training and she’s very smart, and with her intense desire to please and accelerated learning ability she’s be easy train.

About Bambi's Hope Rescue

Bambi’s Hope Rescue is an all breed dog and cat rescue. We rescue from local shelters that are high volume, high kill, strays and animals living in inadequate or abusive living conditions and provide them with permanent, suitable loving homes while making every effort to spread awareness about the injustices of animal experimentation as well as pet stores and puppy mills along the way. We operate without a physical facility or paid staff. We are a privately-funded organization comprised of dedicated rescuers, volunteers and foster homes. All financing comes from our own pockets, as well as contributions from fellow dog lovers. Without your support we could no longer rescue. Our rescue animals stay in approved foster homes until a suitable adoptive home is found. We use a detailed application and interview process in an effort to make the best match between the animal and an adoptive home. If for some reason the adoptive animal does not work out in their new home, it is required that our animals be returned to us so that we can place them back with their dedicated foster parents to ensure they will never wind up abandoned or in the shelter system.
