Meet Cocoa

Sex: Female
Age: 2 yrs (approx.)
Breed: Chi Mix (Red)
Weight: 9 lbs
Available: No longer available

Cocoa was a favorite at Carson Shelter and they somehow managed to spare her life 3 times longer than the other dogs, but even so, she’d finally out of time when pulled to safety.  She’s spayed, up to date on shots, micro chipped and house trained and has been doing very well taking training lessons and has learned some basic commands and is working on her doggie manners.

Details: This little cutie pie Cocoa is available for adoption. Cocoa’s is working on getting along with other dogs but is very sweet, playful and loves to go for walks. She’s just a little love bug who loves nothing better than to hang it with her favorite person – you. We think everything happens for a reason, and she was spared because she’s a good dog who clearly deserves another chance to find a loving home.  Cocoa is okay with most other dogs and completely house trained.  Cocoa was a favorite at Carson Shelter and they somehow managed to spare her life 3 times longer than the other dogs were getting, but even so, she had finally out of time when pulled to safety. Because when we saw her, we too saw a dog who deserved another chance, so we scrambled to save her and now she’s been waiting, again, waiting so long.

About Bambi's Hope Rescue

Bambi’s Hope Rescue is an all breed dog and cat rescue. We rescue from local shelters that are high volume, high kill, strays and animals living in inadequate or abusive living conditions and provide them with permanent, suitable loving homes while making every effort to spread awareness about the injustices of animal experimentation as well as pet stores and puppy mills along the way. We operate without a physical facility or paid staff. We are a privately-funded organization comprised of dedicated rescuers, volunteers and foster homes. All financing comes from our own pockets, as well as contributions from fellow dog lovers. Without your support we could no longer rescue. Our rescue animals stay in approved foster homes until a suitable adoptive home is found. We use a detailed application and interview process in an effort to make the best match between the animal and an adoptive home. If for some reason the adoptive animal does not work out in their new home, it is required that our animals be returned to us so that we can place them back with their dedicated foster parents to ensure they will never wind up abandoned or in the shelter system.
